Hidden within a 240-hectare protected area, this 71-meter waterfall is surrounded by the mountains and biodiversity of the tropical rainforest, where species such as howler monkeys, toucans, and Morpho butterflies are among its main inhabitants. This protected area is managed by the La Fortuna Development Association (ADIFORT), and a portion of the revenue is invested in community development.
